I’m having fun with watercolor in my Pelledori tonight.
For a change of pace I splashed in the watercolor first. After the paint dried, I did ink outlines using a modified Jinhao fountain pen with a Zebra G nib and Noodler’s Beaver ink. I really like the fountain pens with Zebra G dip nibs added. Desiderata Pen Company sells premade fountain pens with this nib. I love my Daedalus from them. I have also made a few hybrid, Franken pens of my own using Jinhao x750, X450 and 159 fountain pens. Adding a Zebra G nib gives a great flex pen for fun lines. Because the Jinhao’s are so inexpensive, I can use carbon inks like Platinum and D’Atramentis in them without worrying about ruining the pen. I can also leave my precious, vintage flex pens at home and use the Franken pens in the field- no big deal if I lose one.
