Drawing Blind, Art 365-16-32

I’m drawing blind tonight due to a visit to my retina specialist where my eyes were dilated and I got another Lucentis injection into my ‘bad’ left eye  My appointment was at 4;30 pm and even though it is now 2;30 in the morning, thanks to my light-sensitive blue eyes that stay dilated FOREVER, I am still wearing two pairs of sunglasses to type this.  Thankfully, all went well at the R.S.   My eye is stable and no new leaks or bleeds, YAY!!

I’ve done blind contour drawings before, but tonight’s drawing was something else, LOL!  Since I had both pairs of shades on to avoid a light-induced headache, I had to draw using dark brushpens just to see the marks on the paper.  Actually seeing my feet to draw them was an interesting challenge due to the sunglasses and my having to wait a day after an injection before I can wear my contacts.  Hence, the drawing blindly!!  Here is the silly finished product:

A Who Christmas Tree

While browsing on DeviantArt (not as diabolical as the name sounds- the site originally was folks who took computer applications and ‘deviated’ them from their original purpose) I found a cute stock photo by Pink-Stock  titled Whoville Tree: Adorable right?  Well, being the rabid Dr. Who fan that I am the name immediately made me […]

Closeup view of a watercolor of cattails by RaSonya Pearce

Cattail Explosion

The cattails exploding with fluffy seeds along our walking trail were so captivating that I couldn’t resist painting them– The weather here in the Midwest has been swinging wildly between bitter cold and balmy warm days.  The day I took this photo I was able to go walking in a t-shirt, in January!!! When I […]

New! Free Video- Paint Christmas Ornaments

Hi guys!  I just put up another FREE video over at the classroom. My favorite colors are blue and green so it is no surprise that I love blue Christmas ornaments.  I think they look sooo pretty against the green tree branches. I did this little painting (with some added Photoshop magic) for my Christmas […]
