It was windy out so R3 and I walked the mall for A Pilgrim’s Draw today. I dug out my Fitbit One to use for keeping track of our distance. It’s always a good idea to be able to measure your progress be it steps, distance, or relationship to God.
One of the benefits of these Lenten walks for A Pilgrim’s Draw, is having an hour just to slow down and be with God. Sure, if I’m walking with R3 we get in some good conversations together but we also have long deep silences. Well, when walking the mall silence is stretching it a bit, LOL! The point is we get time for contemplation, for introspection and for evaluating where we are in our walk with God. We are so busy and our lives are overflowing with things that demand our attention that it is hard to find time to reconnect to the True Source.
I’m loving my Pilgrim’s walks- I get to bond with R3, deepen my faith, find drawing subjects, and work off that turtle sunday from Freddy’s!!!
Remember, faith works!
So glad this pilgrimage is giving you time with our Father and with each other!
