Mark 1:35, Art 365-16-143

I was at a loss for what to do for this Sunday’s Bible journaling, so I asked God to give me inspiration.  He showed me one of Sue’s awesome doodles over at Doodle 101.

She posted about craving God even more than our morning coffee (or for me tea) and spending time with Him first before anything else in the day.

This really resonated with me as I’m two weeks into a commitment to get up at 5 AM every day to spend time with God.  (Plus, get my hours straight after having a house full of night owl college students rubbing off on me.)  It’s not easy but it’s worth it.  Sitting at the top of our stairs today, soaking in the morning sun as it came through our entry window while reading my Bible and spending time in prayer was a beautiful blessing and a great start to my day!!

A Who Christmas Tree

While browsing on DeviantArt (not as diabolical as the name sounds- the site originally was folks who took computer applications and ‘deviated’ them from their original purpose) I found a cute stock photo by Pink-Stock  titled Whoville Tree: Adorable right?  Well, being the rabid Dr. Who fan that I am the name immediately made me […]

Closeup view of a watercolor of cattails by RaSonya Pearce

Cattail Explosion

The cattails exploding with fluffy seeds along our walking trail were so captivating that I couldn’t resist painting them– The weather here in the Midwest has been swinging wildly between bitter cold and balmy warm days.  The day I took this photo I was able to go walking in a t-shirt, in January!!! When I […]

New! Free Video- Paint Christmas Ornaments

Hi guys!  I just put up another FREE video over at the classroom. My favorite colors are blue and green so it is no surprise that I love blue Christmas ornaments.  I think they look sooo pretty against the green tree branches. I did this little painting (with some added Photoshop magic) for my Christmas […]
