It’s a gloomy, rainy day for A Pilgrim’s Draw Saturday. Unfortunately, that meant my internet suffered the rainy day blues and went out. This wasn’t an area wide outage like we had earlier. No, this was our own personal little rainy day crash. Ever since the phone company dug up the lines along my fence to add my neighbors service, we’ve had problems when it gets wet out. When they dug up the lines the phone company managed to nick our electrical service line, taking out a phase which the power company had to repair. I often wonder if they hit our internet also. I’ve had the phone people out several times since and they’ve replaced modems, by-passed my “older” indoor wiring, etc. and we still get spotty internet when it rains.
Thankfully, we don’t lose the net that often or for very long. When it is down there are lots of other things to do. No matter how gloomy it is, every cloud has a silver lining if you look for it.
