Whewww!! I was nearly blown away today out walking for the Lent devotional, A Pilgrim’s Draw . With the wind gusting at 37 plus mph and strong enough to blow down the neighbors gazebo, I was tempted to walk at the mall. Any sane person would have taken it indoors today. However, R3 has been cooped up studying and she wanted to get out in the sunshine and clear her head before she had to hit the books again. What can I say, I’m a pushover.
It was a sunny, warm day. We just had to fight a headwind that stole our breath and shoved us around. Thankfully, when we were tired of wrestling the wind and turned around at the end of the path we were pushed along home by a strong tailwind.
R3 was a smart girl and topped her braided ponytail with a beanie. I was silly and headed out with my long hair loose. Not bad when we were headed into the wind. With the wind at my back however, my hair whipped straight out in front (!) of me like a demented flag!! Weirdly awesome!
Remember, faith works!
Awesome drawing! Perfectly captures your experience on the camino that day!
