I am always cold, so getting ready to go out walking for A Pilgrim’s Draw means a lot of prepping for the path. First, I must have my Cuddl Duds (who spells these things?). I live in Cuddl Duds! Seriously, the only time in winter that I’m Dudless is when I get dressed up for church or dinner out. Ya see why the kiddos think I’m part cold-blooded lizard unable to regulate my body temp?
Next , thick woolly socks. Gotta keep the tootsies warm. Heavy jeans and a thick hoody are my walking uniform. Head gear depends on how cold and windy it is. Anything short of a breezeless summer day rates earmuffs. Any sign of wind and I grab a Thinsulate, wind-block earband. If it’s cold, I top it with an earflap cap guaranteed to embarrass the kiddos and make them walk twenty paces ahead of me.
If it is warm enough to get in a drawing I don runner’s gloves. Days when I won’t be drawing on the spot call for mittens. If I have on gloves and mittens, then it is because I love my daughter, R3, more than I have common sense and I went walking to keep her company on a day all sane lizard people stay indoors.
I really need DH to retire to Arizona. Then I could go walking and afterwards sun myself on a nice hot rock in true lizard fashion…
Remember, faith works!
Haha! Sounds like you are “weathering” this pilgrimage well! Glad you are feeling better and love the drawn clothing post! 🙂

Thanks! 🙂 Love the pun! 🙂 It definitely is pushing my comfort zone. A wonderful benefit is having my daughter as a walking companion and spending the time alone with her.
I have two sets of Cuddl Duds so if one is in the wash, I can wear the other! Never leave home without them in the winter. Well, actually, I wear them around the house, too! Love your journal page.
Thank you! Yep, Cuddl Duds are awesome. I found a ton of them on sale at Marshall’s and now I’m all set!!!!
